The Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Anaryu, has urged field commanders under the Joint Task Force North East (JTF NE), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), to provide timely and realistic logistics feedback to strengthen ongoing military operations against insurgency in the region.
This was contained in a statement signed by SANI UBA Lieutenant Colonel Media Information Officer Joint Task Force North East (OPHK) on 15th September 2025
According to the statement, Maj Gen Anaryu made the call on Saturday, 14 September 2025, during a familiarization visit to the Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK in Maiduguri, where he was warmly received by the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.

Highlighting the crucial role of logistics in sustaining battlefield successes, the CCST stressed the importance of synergy between the Theatre Command and the Corps of Supply and Transport. He explained that his visit was to gain first-hand insight into the theatre’s logistics needs and to engage directly with field commanders for practical solutions.
Maj Gen Anaryu commended the leadership of Maj Gen Abubakar and tasked commanders to prioritize troop welfare and morale in line with the “Soldiers Come First” directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede. He further assured that measures were being taken to address pressing challenges, including a shortage of trained drivers and the provision of standard sheds for operational vehicles.

In his response, Maj Gen Abubakar welcomed the visit and lauded the Corps for its consistent support to OPHK. He pledged continued cooperation in logistics, training, and operations, while praising the quality of officers deployed to the theatre.
The visit also featured an interactive session with field commanders, a presentation on OPHK’s operational activities, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
