Abuja, 2 December 2025 – The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been ranked second among all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) leading Nigeria’s ease of doing business reforms, achieving an impressive 89.3% score in public sector reforms and excellence in implementing business-friendly initiatives.
The agency’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), CON, OFR, received a special recognition award at the 2025 Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Awards & Gala Night, held at the Presidential Villa’s Banquet Hall.
The ceremony was graced by His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chair of PEBEC, who served as the Special Guest of Honour and Principal Award Presenter. The awards were presented based on the independently verified 2025 Business Facilitation Act (BFA) Performance Report.
The recognition highlights NDLEA’s commitment to excellence in public sector reforms, reinforcing its role in facilitating a conducive business environment while maintaining operational effectiveness and integrity.
