The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has strengthened its engagement with sub-national governments following a strategic courtesy visit to Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, in Jos.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration in Nigeria’s telecommunications and digital economy sectors, with a focus on expanding infrastructure, improving regulatory cooperation, and driving inclusive economic development.
The meeting brought together senior officials of the NCC and the Plateau State Government to reinforce partnerships aimed at enhancing digital connectivity and creating an enabling environment for investment in the state.
The NCC delegation included Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Rimini Makama; Deputy Director, Legal and Regulatory Services, Lawrence Abang; and Director of Digital Economy, Helen Obi.Also present was Plateau State Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo, alongside other government officials.

Discussions during the engagement focused on strengthening regulatory support, expanding digital access, and fostering collaboration that will accelerate technological development and economic growth in Plateau State.
The visit highlights the NCC’s commitment to working closely with state governments to advance Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda and improve telecommunications services nationwide.
