The International Press Centre (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Anikeade Funke-Treasure, a distinguished member of its Board, on receiving an Award Plaque for “Voice of Dignity” from the Heroes of Tomorrows Africa Foundation (HOTAF) in the United States of America.

The statement reads: this international honour celebrates Ms. Funke-Treasure’s unwavering dedication to amplifying voices, promoting human dignity, and fostering ethical journalism and storytelling that drive positive social change both within and beyond Nigeria’s media space.
A veteran broadcaster, media development expert, and strong advocate for gender inclusion, Ms. Funke-Treasure has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and leadership throughout her career. Her impact continues to inspire journalists and media practitioners striving to elevate standards of integrity, inclusion, and excellence in journalism.
Speaking on behalf of the IPC Board and Management, Mr. Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director and Board Secretary, commended Ms. Funke-Treasure for bringing pride to the Centre and to Nigeria’s media community.
“The IPC Board and Management are proud to be associated with Ms. Funke-Treasure’s accomplishments and celebrate this international honour with immense joy and admiration,” Arogundade said.
The IPC urged her to continue to blaze the trail, mentor young professionals, and uphold the values of dignity, justice, and professionalism for which she has been globally recognized.
