The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the schedule for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and the conduct of a Mock Accreditation Exercise in preparation for the 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election.

In a statement signed by Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi, Director of Voter Education and Publicity, the Commission disclosed that PVC collection for voters who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will hold from Wednesday, 22nd to Sunday, 26th October 2025.

Eligible voters are advised to visit the Registration Area (Ward) where they completed their registration to collect their PVCs. INEC emphasized that PVC collection is strictly in person, warning that no proxy collection will be allowed under any circumstance.

The Commission urged all registered voters to take advantage of this window to collect their cards and ensure their eligibility to vote in the forthcoming election.

As part of its preparations, INEC will also conduct a Mock Accreditation Exercise on Saturday, 25th October 2025, across selected polling units in the three senatorial districts of Anambra State. The exercise is designed to test the upgraded Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), evaluate its response time, and assess the uploading of results to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) Portal ahead of the main election.

Mock Accreditation Locations:
1️⃣ Anambra Central – Awka South (Amawbia II): Igwédimma Primary School I & II (006, 007)
2️⃣ Anambra Central – Idemili North (Nkpor II): Ububa Village Square (035), Ifeadigo Hall (063)
3️⃣ Anambra North – Oyi (Nteje III & IV): Girls Secondary School, Nteje (005); State Primary School, Nteje (002)
4️⃣ Anambra North – Anambra East (Aguleri II): Central School (001); Umunoke Public Square I (002)
5️⃣ Anambra South – Aguata (Ekwulobia I & II): Central School (003); Urban Girls Secondary School (009)
6️⃣ Anambra South – Orumba North (Ajalli I): Primary School (007); RCM KDT School (011)

INEC encouraged registered voters in these polling units to participate actively in the mock exercise, noting that their involvement will help the Commission fine-tune operational and technological processes for a smoother electoral experience during the governorship election.

Reiterating its commitment to efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder confidence, INEC assured the public that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee credible and inclusive elections in Anambra State.
