Connected Development (CODE) proudly announces the appointment of its Chief Executive, Hamzat Lawal, to the five-member global jury for the CIVICUS Nelson Mandela–Graça Machel Innovation Awards.
These prestigious awards honor individuals and organizations demonstrating exceptional courage and innovation in driving social change, reflecting the legacies of Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel.

As a jury member, Mr. Lawal will join distinguished global leaders in identifying and recognizing groundbreaking grassroots initiatives making a significant impact worldwide.
Mr. Lawal is a globally recognized activist and anti-corruption advocate, known for founding Follow The Money, Africa’s largest grassroots data-driven movement promoting transparency and accountability. His leadership at CODE has earned several global recognitions, including the ONE Africa Award and the Council of Europe Democracy Innovation Award.
