In a bold stride toward modernizing road safety operations in Nigeria, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commissioned upgraded state-of-the-art office facilities aimed at transforming its service delivery and accelerating digital innovation across its operations.
The landmark event was led by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, who hosted the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator Diket Plang, and the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, to officially inaugurate the newly upgraded facilities.
The transformation project reflects Corps Marshal Mohammed’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to integrating technology with infrastructure, in a bid to reposition the FRSC as a modern, tech-driven institution.
Described as a game-changer, the revamped office space is expected to serve as a digital command hub—enabling smarter decision-making, streamlined operations, improved data management, and enhanced staff capacity development. It is also projected to significantly improve the Corps’ efficiency in service delivery and its overall impact on road safety nationwide.
Speaking during the commissioning, Senator Diket Plang praised the initiative as a major milestone for the FRSC, applauding the Corps Marshal for his innovative approach and willingness to embrace forward-thinking solutions to contemporary road safety challenges.
Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, in her remarks, lauded the FRSC’s leadership and expressed optimism that the upgraded infrastructure will significantly enhance the motoring experience across the country. “This initiative renews the nation’s hope for safer roads and a more responsive traffic management system,” she added.
With these facilities, the FRSC is now strategically positioned to lead Nigeria’s transition toward a smarter, safer, and more technologically advanced road transport environment.
As the Corps looks ahead, the leadership remains confident that this digital transformation will set a new benchmark for road safety management in Africa.
