Abuja, September 29, 2025 – The Federal Ministry of Education has unveiled its Communications Strategy and Framework (2025–2027), a blueprint designed to strengthen policy engagement, transparency, and collaboration in Nigeria’s education sector.
The launch, held at the Ministry’s podium in Abuja, was led by the Honorable Minister of Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad, with the support of development partners, including the Partnership for Learning for All in Nigerian Education (PLANE) and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
In her opening remarks, the Minister emphasized that education reforms can only succeed when they are clearly communicated, understood, and embraced by all stakeholders. She explained that the new framework will:
- Present education policies and programmes in clear, accessible language,
- Strengthen two-way communication and feedback channels between the Ministry and the public, and
- Build trust and ownership around priority initiatives such as foundational learning, digital skills, teacher professional development, and reducing the number of out-of-school children.
“We must create a culture of open, timely, and effective communication that accelerates results and improves learning outcomes for every Nigerian child,” Professor Ahmad stated.
She commended PLANE and UK International Development for their technical and financial support, describing the partnership as a shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in education.
The Minister urged all departments, agencies, state partners, and civil society actors to take ownership of the framework, stressing that its strength lies in active implementation.
The event brought together senior government officials, agency heads, development partners, civil society leaders, and the media, who pledged support for the rollout of the framework under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,.
