Abuja, October 30, 2025 The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Prof. Idayat Bolanle Owolabi, a Nigerian-born scholar and University of Ibadan alumna, on her remarkable recognition by His Majesty, King Charles III.
Prof. Owolabi was recently conferred with the prestigious title of Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2025, announced on October 10, 2025, for her exceptional contributions to the United Kingdom’s health sector.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa described the honour as “a proud moment for Nigeria and the diaspora community,” noting that Prof. Owolabi’s professional excellence and dedication reflect the best of Nigerian talent on the global stage.
