The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has extended warm felicitations to officers, soldiers, and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el-Maulud, the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In his goodwill message, General Musa described the celebration as a time for reflection on the Prophet’s teachings of compassion, humility, and service to humanity.
He urged personnel of the Armed Forces to use the occasion to strengthen unity, deepen loyalty, and remain steadfast in their commitment to the nation.
“As the Prophet brought hope and good tidings to the world, so must we be promoters of peaceful coexistence and optimism, strengthening the bonds within our ranks and across our nation as we continue to serve with integrity, professionalism, and dedication,” he said.
The Defense Chief assured Nigerians that the military remains unwavering in its mandate to safeguard lives, uphold national unity, and foster peaceful coexistence across the country.
“Together, and guided by the principles exemplified by the Prophet, we will remain resolute in our duty to protect lives, uphold the rule of law, and support the collective prosperity of our nation,” General Musa affirmed.
The message was conveyed in a statement issued by Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, Acting Director of Defense Information, on Friday.
