The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded another major operational success after executing a devastating precision strike on a major terrorist hideout in the Sambisa general area. The strike, carried out on 19 November 2025, targeted ARRA, a known terrorist enclave linked to recent attacks on security forces.
This was contained in a statement signed by Ehimen Ejodame Air Commodore
Director of Public Relations and Information Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, on the 19th November 2025
According to the NAF, the operation was conducted under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, following a detailed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) cycle that tracked terrorist movement in the aftermath of the 17 October ambush on ground troops at KASHOMRI.
Persistent ISR coverage over KASHOMRI and deep into the Sambisa axis uncovered suspicious activity and active terrorist infrastructure at ARRA. This triggered a coordinated and intelligence-driven Air Interdiction mission by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI.
NAF air assets reportedly engaged the identified targets in successive, well-coordinated attack runs, resulting in the complete destruction of all designated structures and the neutralization of several terrorist elements. The strike is said to have severely degraded the terrorists’ command, logistics, and operational capability within the area.
The successful mission underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s sustained pressure on terrorist groups and its commitment to supporting ground troops across all theatres of operation. The NAF reiterated its resolve to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensure lasting peace for citizens.
