Human rights activist, Comrade Adeyanju Deji, has fulfilled his pledge of financial support to families affected by the recent tragic attack in Egbe, Kogi State, which claimed the life of a police officer and injured others.
Adeyanju donated ₦1 million to the widow of the slain officer, who was just weeks away from retirement, and ₦500,000 each to the families of other victims. He also pledged to help secure a better job for the son of the deceased officer.
Beyond financial aid, Adeyanju vowed to intensify his advocacy by mobilizing his networks to press for urgent government action against the growing wave of insecurity in Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Egbe, and across Kogi West.
“My concern does not end here. From today, I’m going to be calling everyone I know to do something about the escalating insecurity situation in my senatorial district. SAVE KOGI WEST FROM BANDITS,” he declared
The gesture has been widely praised as a mark of empathy and responsibility, bringing relief to affected families while amplifying calls for stronger security measures in Okunland and beyond.
