According to the statement, the directive, issued by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, involves the immediate deployment of the FRSC Management Team to Field Commands across the country for structured retreats and reorientation programmes.

Focus on Ethical Compliance and Citizen-Centered Service
The engagement is designed to recalibrate operational standards, enhance productivity, and address unprofessional conduct toward members of the public.
“The Corps will not tolerate any behavior that undermines public trust or compromises its statutory mandate,” the Corps Marshal emphasized.
Key priorities of the nationwide initiative include:
Reinforcing ethical compliance and supervisory accountability
Standardizing enforcement protocols
Embedding a citizen-centered approach in all operations
Institutionalizing renewed performance benchmarks
Commanding Officers have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the FRSC’s code of conduct at all levels.
Stakeholder Engagement and Public Feedback
As part of the reforms, the Management Team will meet directly with critical stakeholders and members of the public to obtain feedback on service delivery and operational conduct.

Personnel found guilty of misconduct, abuse of authority, or actions that could tarnish the reputation of the Corps will face immediate disciplinary measures under existing regulations.

Why This Matters
Road safety in Nigeria relies not only on effective enforcement but also on the public’s trust in the Corps. By prioritizing discipline, professionalism, and direct engagement, the FRSC aims to deliver more humane, efficient, and responsive services nationwide.
This initiative reinforces the Corps’ commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement, setting a standard for public institutions in Nigeria.
The reform initiative is spearheaded by the FRSC Corps Management Team, with oversight from the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed. Stakeholders, Commanding Officers, and members of the public are actively involved in the feedback and reorientation process.
