The Governing Council of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFED), Kazaure, has directed the Rector, the Deputy Bursar in charge of salaries, and the former Acting Director of Procurement and Physical Planning to step aside pending an investigation into alleged misappropriation of funds and contract irregularities.
The directive was issued through the institution’s Registrar, who also serves as the Secretary of the Governing Council. According to an official communication from the Council, the decision follows concerns over financial mismanagement and irregularities uncovered in the execution of projects within the institution.

“The Governing Council, at its 40th Regular Meeting held on the 13th and 14th of March 2025, observed with dismay the misappropriation of funds and irregularities in the award and execution of projects in the Polytechnic. In view of this, the Council resolved that the Rector, Former Acting Director of Procurement, Physical Planning, and Deputy Bursar in charge of salaries should step aside with immediate effect to allow for a thorough investigation,” the statement read.
The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability within the institution’s financial operations. The Council assured stakeholders that a full investigation would be conducted to determine the extent of the alleged misconduct and take necessary actions based on the findings.
