The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Nigeria described the anniversary as a significant moment in Iran’s modern history, reflecting the country’s commitment to sovereignty and national development.
The statement noted that Nigeria recognises the importance of the occasion to the Iranian people and acknowledged their continued pursuit of progress, stability and prosperity.

Nigeria also highlighted the longstanding diplomatic relations between both countries, which span over five decades and are rooted in mutual respect, shared interests and constructive engagement.
According to the Ministry, Nigeria and Iran continue to cooperate bilaterally and multilaterally across political, economic, cultural and technical areas, underscoring a shared commitment to peaceful cooperation and international partnership.
The Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Iran through sustained diplomatic dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Nigeria further conveyed its best wishes to the Government and people of Iran for continued peace, stability and prosperity.
