The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has directed that all external correspondence to the Commission must henceforth be submitted through its newly deployed WorkflowPro platform, in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation drive.
The Commission said the move aligns with the Federal Government’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) policy, which mandates the digitisation of official records and the elimination of physical file movements across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
According to NIMC, all letters, requests and official communications from individuals, organisations and other stakeholders must now be submitted via the dedicated WorkflowPro portal at: https://workflowpro-nimc.com/Submit or through the designated QR code provided on its official communication channels.
To ensure a smooth transition, the Commission has approved a 30-day grace period from the date of the announcement to allow stakeholders familiarise themselves with the new digital process.
NIMC stated that at the expiration of the transition window, it will discontinue the acceptance of manually delivered letters and all other forms of paper-based correspondence.
The Commission described the initiative as a major step toward improving efficiency, transparency and record management in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
